Art Director

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for assisting the On-Air Designers in working with the On-Air Promotions, Production, and Creative Services departments to ensure all written graphic elements of on-air design projects maintain stylistic continuity. The incumbent will also maintain and manage the font library and backup of video materials for the On-Air Design department. Operate Macintosh computer and FxDeko/Boris Red character generation systems to create video design solutions for on-air interstitial and marketing video promotional pieces. Ensure continuity in written graphic elements for on-air and marketing video promotional pieces. Assist production personnel in online editing sessions to help resolve basic design issues or technical problems with online graphics systems by ensuring that appropriate font layout and templates are used for video segments. Maintain online graphics network drive with current font layouts to keep all graphic files up-to-date for the Producers and Editors’ use. Assist On-Air Designers on an ad hoc basis with design projects. Assist in the execution of on-location and studio shoots through the preparation and placement of props. Act as liaison between On-Air Designers, Producers, and Editors by performing “clean-up” work to video segments to ensure consistency in design elements.
