SPARTACUS

A Thracian warrior forced into slavery, Spartacus became the gladiator known as the Bringer of Rain. After losing his wife Sura and thirsty for vengeance, he led the gladiators in an uprising to escape the ludus and would eventually defeat the legions of Gaius Claudius Glaber and slay the Roman praetor. Now, Spartacus has amassed an army in the thousands. He knows he is not only responsible for the lives of every man, woman, and child in his rebellion, but also for continuing to inspire them to fight for freedom from oppression and stand up against the mighty Roman Republic.

Australian actor Liam McIntyre has enjoyed a diverse career in theater, television and film since beginning his acting career in Ireland as the lead in a production of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure. His theater credits also include 12 Angry Men, Proof, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, and Macbeth: Rearisen, which won the Green Room Award for best independent production.

His television credits include his role as Sergeant Matt Connor in the Australian series "Rush," as well as Bradley Hewson on Australia's longest running drama, "Neighbours." McIntyre made his U.S. debut as Bell Captain Lew in HBO's Emmy® and Golden Globe® Nominated hit "The Pacific."

CRIXUS

Once the Champion of Capua, and rival to Spartacus, he has since become one of the rebel leader's most trusted generals. He blamed himself for losing Naevia, his love from the House of Batiatus, to a fate worse than death. But, with Spartacus' aid, he rescued her from the mines, almost sacrificing his own life in the process. After an emotional reunion, he trained Naevia to fight like a gladiator then watched as she took her revenge on Ashur. Now Crixus has a mind focused on war, and the defeat of the Roman Republic. He'll do it all with Naevia by his side, and he'll see hell before being separated from her again."

Of Maori descent and born in Auckland, New Zealand, Bennett's family relocated to Australia soon after his birth. During high school, Bennett played rugby and studied classical ballet and piano before attending the University of New South Wales to study drama.

Previous television credits include starring roles in the successful New Zealand productions "Shortland Street," "Street Legal," "Mataku," "Creature Quest," "Going Straight," "Sinbad and the Minotaur," and "Xena: Warrior Princess." His first feature film role was opposite Anthony LaPaglia in the multiple-award-winning Lantana. Other feature film credits include major supporting
roles in The Condemned, 30 Days of Night, and the upcoming
trilogy The Hobbit.

GANNICUS

Long before Spartacus was forced to become a gladiator, Gannicus, a gifted fighter, was one of the few who earned his freedom in the arena. After wandering free, he was brought back to the games to face Crixus and his former brothers in combat, but he chose to assist in their escape instead. After heavy persuasion to join the rebellion, Gannicus finally acquiesced when it became clear that Spartacus' hope of freedom for all was genuine. Although highly respected, he shuns authority in favor of wine and women, sharing his bed with the beautiful Saxa. Despite his boyish lust for life, he is a key asset that Spartacus depends upon.

Dustin Clare made his feature debut opposite Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis in Fred Schepisi's The Eye of the Storm, which premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival and screened at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. He will also appear in Mark Lamprell's upcoming musical feature, Goddess, and Michelle Joy Lloyd's Sunday, in which Dustin is also a co-writer and producer.

Dustin began his career with guest roles in the leading Australian television series "All Saints" and "Headland" before becoming a series regular in the popular television drama "McLeod's Daughters," for which he won a Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. He went on to star in the Showtime series "Satisfaction," for which he received a second Logie Award nomination for Most Outstanding Actor and a Golden Nymph Award nomination for Most Outstanding Actor at the 49th Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco. Dustin also appeared as Chris Flannery in the Nine Network's critically acclaimed second season of "Underbelly."

AGRON

One of three generals in the rebellion, Agron is a hot-tempered warrior who is fiercely loyal to Spartacus and the cause. Still enraged by the death of his brother Duro, who was slaughtered in the escape from Batiatus' ludus, he continues seeking blind vengeance at every opportunity. Often, his anger is directed toward Crixus, but despite their differences, the two are united in the cause. Agron was also instrumental in overthrowing Glaber's forces at the Battle of Vesuvius, which ultimately resulted in the death of Glaber and a great victory for the rebellion. Now, as Spartacus' right-hand man, he is responsible for his leader's safety while fighting for the cause.

Dan Feuerriegel was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, in 1981. Though diagnosed with a rare heart condition at birth, which doctors predicted would lead to a sheltered life, Dan excelled in athletics, choir, and drama as a child. After a brief stint as a veterinary science student in college, Dan realized his true calling was acting and he enrolled in the fine arts department at Queensland University of Technology. Dan landed his first professional acting gig in 2005, in a TV movie called Small Claims: White Wedding, and has worked steadily ever since. He also appeared in "McLeod's Daughters" and "Winners & Losers."

NAEVIA

A former body slave to Lucretia, Naevia was banished from the ludus after engaging in a love affair with Crixus. Her punishment was severe, being sent to the salt mines to endure horrific conditions and violent assaults from both Roman soldiers and other slaves. When Crixus learns of her fate, he launches a rescue against all odds. The mission is a success but their reunion is short-lived, as Crixus becomes a prisoner to the Romans. After Crixus escapes and is finally reunited with Naevia, they share a bond unlike any other. Naevia, deeply wounded from her past, asks Crixus to train her as a fighter. She uses these skills to satiate her thirst for vengeance by cleaving Ashur's head from his body. She is now a fierce warrior and fights alongside her love.

Cynthia Addai-Robinson appeared in the acclaimed film Colombiana and has been seen in numerous television series, including "Dirt," "FlashForward," "CSI:NY ," "CSI:Miami," and "Numb3rs."

She studied theater at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where she performed in several New York theater productions. Born in London to a Ghanaian mother and an American father, she moved to the United States and was raised in Washington, D.C.

NASIR

A young Syrian body slave freed by Spartacus and the rebellion, Nasir had a life of position and respect in his master's villa. But that was all stripped away from him when he was given his freedom, and he resented Spartacus for it. After a failed assassination attempt on Spartacus, Nasir realizes that he is in the presence of a man who really does want justice, and begins to train as a warrior. He receives instruction from Spartacus himself, and counsel from Agron, who becomes more than just a trusted friend. Over time, Nasir engages in an intimate relationship with Agron, and also proves his worth as a skilled fighter.

New Zealand actor Pana Hema-Taylor has appeared in such films as The Most Fun You Can Have Dying, Boy, and Nights in the Gardens of Spain. His stage credits include Skylock, Romeo and Juliet, and Ngá Manurere.

SAXA

One of a group of Germanic prisoners rescued from a slave ship, Saxa is as physically striking as she is rude and brash, and just as violent as any man in the rebellion. An aggressive fighter, her skill with twin daggers made her a natural choice for Nemetes' attack force on the Roman vanguard, which ultimately failed and led to the death of her closest friend Mira. When not embroiled in the fighting, Saxa embraces life with the same vigor and passion as Gannicus and has taken to sharing his bed. She finds excitement and kinship with the man who's every bit her equal.

Ellen Hollman is a Los Angeles-based actress who has appeared in various films over the last few years, landing lead roles in Road House 2: Last Call, Surf School, Asylum, Skateland and Sinatra Club. She has also appeared in numerous television shows, including "Rules of Engagement," "Numb3rs," "Medium," "NCIS ," "Criminal Minds," "Weeds," "In Plain Sight," and "The O.C." Aside from acting, Hollman is the CEO of Visual Impact Now, a nonprofit based in Los Angeles. Visual Impact Now has partnered as a fundraising and awareness arm with One Sight, to provide free
eye exams and glasses to children and families who are unable
to afford them.

MARCUS CRASSUS

A man of great wealth, position, and considerable wisdom for his age, Marcus Crassus is the last hope the Roman Senate has to defeat the rebellion. He amassed his extraordinary wealth through a series of shrewd business decisions, but the honor of military success has always eluded him. Now Crassus has an opportunity to gain that recognition using every means at his disposal to defeat Spartacus. Unlike his predecessors, Crassus will not underestimate this "mere slave"; the man has defeated countless Roman armies, and will do so again if not matched in brains as well as brawn. But bringing death to Spartacus will require more than just money. So Crassus will call upon a young and battle-experienced Julius Caesar to help, much to the envy of his oldest son Tiberius, who wants only to prove himself to his father.

English actor Simon Merrells is an accomplished stage and television actor who has starred in many acclaimed productions, including, for the RSC: "Twelfth Night" and "Comedy of Errors," for the National: "Emperor" and "Galilean," "Sing Yer Heart Out For The Lads;" "On the Waterfront" and "Oedipus" for Steven Berkoff, for both being nominated for the Stage Award for Acting Excellence, "Much Ado about Nothing," "Frankie and johnny in the Clair de lune" and many more. As well as extensive TV work he played Ben Talbot in "The Wolfman" and stars in soon to be released British horror The Judas Ghost.

CAESAR

Few names in history command the power and respect that Caesar's does. With a noble lineage sired from Venus herself and Romulus, the exalted founder of Rome, it was his birthright to rule …and he knows it. Arrogant and intelligent, but with fighting
skills to rival those of a gladiator, Caesar is never one to be underestimated. Yet despite his heritage, and his formidable skills as both warrior, tactician, and commander of legions, he lacks the wealth to see his ambitions play out - wealth that Marcus Crassus has in abundance. And so, seeing opportunity for both to advance within Rome, they join forces with one aim - to bring death to Spartacus and his rebel army.

Todd Lasance is an Australian actor who can be seen in the lead role of Quick Lamb in "Cloudstreet." His performance earned him a 2012 AACTA Award nomination for Best Guest or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama. He also starred in the popular "Underbelly Files - Tell Them Lucifer Was Here," "The Great Mint Swindle," and "Brothers in Arms." He won the 2009 TV Week Silver Logie for Most Popular Actor in a Television Series for his role as Aden in "Home and Away." Todd's other television credits include "McLeod's Daughters," "Blue Water High," and "Blackjack - Ghosts." He can also be seen in Fool's Gold, starring Matthew McConaughey
and Kate Hudson.

TIBERIUS

The eldest son of Marcus Crassus, Tiberius wants nothing more than to prove himself to his father. He's ready to lead and presses hard for a position of leadership in Crassus' army. But Tiberius is living in the shadow of Julius Caesar - an ambitious and self-important young man who is, in many ways, the son Crassus wishes he had. It's a fact that Tiberius is very aware of, and one that causes much friction between himself and Caesar.

In 2012, 20-year-old Australian actor Christian Antidormi appeared in two of his country's most-watched television dramas, "Home and Away" and "Packed to the Rafters." As a teen, he was best known for his role as the heartthrob Vince in the Disney Channel's locally produced shortform comedy series "As the Bell Rings." He also appeared in the AFI Award-winning TV mini-series "False Witness" and the Australian short films I Spy and Pride.

LAETA

The privileged wife of a Roman dignitary who becomes entangled in the struggle against Spartacus. Her life and the lives of those she loves are forever changed by the conflict.

One of New Zealand's most widely recognized young actors, Anna Hutchison began her career with lead roles in the U.S. series "Power Rangers," the New Zealand TV series "Shortland Street," and the critically acclaimed Australian TV series "Underbelly - A Tale of Two Cities," "Wild Boys," and "Go Girls." Anna was recently seen in Cabin in the Woods.

KORE

Loyal slave to Marcus Crassus, the Roman tasked to bring an end to Spartacus and his rebellion. Her deep feelings for her master will be sorely tested by spiraling events.

Jenna Lind is a classically trained actress from Sydney, Australia. Her film credits include Burning Man (director Jonathan Teplitzky) and Crush. Her TV credits include the lead role of Maria Muhary in "Underbelly II" and the lead role of Louisa in Andrew Denton's hit series "30 Seconds." She has had guest roles in "All Saints"
and "Wild Boys."
